2011 CSC Auction Dinner a Huge Success!
The Community Services Center 2011 Charity Auction was a huge success. The auction has a reputation for being the highlight of the international community social calendar and this year’s event certainly did not disappoint. Celebrating 100 years of the Republic of China was this year’s theme which was started off with a stunning performance by the National Taiwan Junior College of Performing Arts. This “Wow!” factor continued throughout the evening – the items for sale were fabulous, the food served by the Hyatt was top-class and the entire room looked resplendent in red and gold. At the close of the evening, many people stayed on for a drink and a chat with friends, seemingly reluctant to end what had truly been a wonderful night.
The success of the night was not only measurable in the enjoyment of those who attended, however. Every year we aim to make NT$2 million to ensure that we can continue to do the work that we do. This year we achieved that target and them some, exceeding the NT$2 million mark comfortably. This means that The Center can, for another year, continue to provide information, put on an excellent range of activities, maintain an exceptional level of community care and carry on working with the institutions and charities that we already do.
Of course, this success does not happen in a vacuum and we are deeply grateful to all those who have helped us, particularly The Grand Hyatt Taipei, Crown Worldwide Movers Ltd., Pernod Ricard Taiwan, Heineken Taiwan, Swire Coca-Cola Taiwan, Ltd and Bai Win Antiques. We would also like to thanks Taipei City Government for their valued attendance.
We’re looking forward to next year’s auction and we know that you are too – people are already asking us when they can buy their tickets!
