The Abandoned Boudoir – Australian Craft and Design Exhibition
October 21st - November 2nd, 2011
Open daily 1-8pm
Home Hotel
90 Song-Ren Road, Taipei
Débuted in last year’s Bangkok Design Festival and later showcased in Beijing, The Abandoned Boudoir curated by Australia’s Marisia Lukaszewski of aestheticalliance*is an art and design exhibition to open this October during the 2011 Taipei World Design Expo.
True to the name of the exhibition, The Abandoned Boudoir uses the hotel bedroom as an intimate exhibition space. Existing hotel artwork, bed linen, objects, furniture and lighting in the room are removed and replaced by Australian crafted objects. During the display period, the installation will undergo subtle changes to reflect the moods of its 'inhabitant', functioning as a 'living' exhibition for visitors to inspect.
The Abandoned Boudoir in Taipei is a collaboration between Australian Commerce and Industry Office in Taipei, Asialink, Australia Council for the Arts, and the Home Hotel. Booking required.
