What is the Charity Auction Dinner?

The Center's annual Charity Auction Dinner is one of the most highly anticipated social events of the year. It is also one of the most important as it is through this event that The Center is able to raise the funds that will allow us to continue to provide services to the International Community in Taiwan.

Every year The Center helps thousands of people. Whether it is simply offering friendship on arrival in a new country, supplying information about how to live successfully in Taiwan, or professional counseling when it is needed The Center is always here; for you, for your family, or for someone you know. You may know our magazine Centered on Taipei and our books such as Taipei Living and Taiwan A-Z. You may also have attended our events like the Auction, the Charity Golf Tournament among others. You, your loved ones, or people you know may have attended our classes or activities. We all benefit from knowing that there is a team of professional counselors who can help with more serious needs when they arise.

But did you know that over the last year in addition to our regular work on behalf of the whole community we also:

• helped counsel people affected by the disasters in Japan AND raised money for disaster relief in Australia, Japan and New Zealand
• started up an in-house charity sales program to raise money for the development of literacy in Taiwan
• ran our third annual Teens Unplugged event to help high school students better face life after school
• opened a new counseling office in Hsinchu to support the community.

This year's Charity Auction Dinner will be held on Friday, 21st October from 6.30pm onwards at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Taipei.

To make a much appreciated donation to our Auction, please download this Auction Donation Pledge Form and return it to The Center before September 1st, 2011, or as soon as possible.
