YouBike Ride: Xinpu to Bitan

Join Dory for a scenic bike ride along some of Taipei’s lovely riverside trails. We begin this trip at the Xinpu MRT Station where we will rent our YouBikes and ride about 1km over to the riverside area. We will follow a bike trail along the Dahah Stream, passing some creative wall paintings along the way. We connect to the Xindian Stream at the Huajiang Bridge and then pass under the Huazhong Bridge. There is a small dinosaur park with 3D paintings on the wall and metal sculptures. It will be a good place to take a rest and have a snack. From there we continue on with our ride to Bitan, a popular resort area, to enjoy the beautiful views of the bridges. After we return our bikes you may choose to stay longer to enjoy the Bitan lake area or take the MRT from Xindian to return home. The ride is about 20km. (Please note that YouBikes come in one size, with an adjustable seat.) Please dress appropriately and bring water, snacks, sun/rain/insect protection and your EasyCard for the bike rental. Helmets required.
