Silver Stream Cave Hike

Silver Stream Cave is a tiny temple built into a cliff face behind a tall waterfall in the hills around Xindian. After taking a bus from the MRT to the trail head, this hike starts by climbing up to the temple and passes right behind the waterfall offering magnificent views through the water and out over the hills below. From the temple we will hike up to the Maokong area and walk along the scenic Zhanghu and Zhangshu trails, which are both relatively flat. We will take a bus from the Zhangshu Temple to the Taipei Zoo MRT station where we end our journey. This is an easy hike for fit and regular hikers, and moderately strenuous for beginners. Please wear proper hiking shoes; bring your EasyCard, water, snacks and rain/sun/insect protection as needed.
