Bihu Park is a 13-hectare park located in Neihu. The park has a big lake, a nine-turn bridge and resting pavilions along the many walking paths. The park has a variety of flora that reflects off the lake in the summer. Join Jennifer for a walk around the 1.5km lakeside path where we will explore one or two of the stone walkways beside the lake. After our walk, we will make our way over to the Guo Ziyi Memorial House (aka Red House). This historical building was built in 1917 and still has some of its original features. It is made of red brick and was recently restored to honor the Tang Dynasty period. Nearby is Mom’s Pies, where we can stop for a break to enjoy a slice or grab some to go to bring home for family members who cannot join us on this lovely morning in the park. This trip is good for adults, teens and children (8 and above, accompanied by their parents). Please note that this park is out on the Brown Line, which is a bit of a trek from Tianmu—but why not visit somewhere new if you’ve never been? Wear comfortable walking shoes; bring water, snacks and sun/rain/insect protection as needed.
