Taiwanese Bento: Easy and Quick Meals for Home or On the Go!

The Taiwanese practice of grabbing a biàndāng or lunch box for quick and easy meals can be traced back to the Japanese era between 1895-1945, when the Japanese bento meal, which you could bring to school, the office or even take on the train, became instilled in the local culture. In this class, Ivy will treat you to three of her own homemade versions of this ubiquitous meal that you can prepare for your family to eat at home: Fried Pork Chop Bento, Braised Chicken Leg Bento, Vegetarian Bento with Quinoa Rice, plus a tasty Egg Drop Soup with Tofu and Bok Choy.
