From Traditional to Trendy, Taipei’s Most Popular Downtown Food Markets

ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN ON AUGUST 7TH.

This tour takes place in a downtown traditional market area teeming with fish and seafood vendors, and includes a stop at Binjiang Market. One of the city's main wholesale fruit and vegetable markets, Binjiang caters to Taipei's many restaurants and executive chefs, but is also a favorite of foodies and home cooks due to its wide array of reasonably priced fruit, vegetables and specialty items (spices, herbs and mushrooms). After Binjiang, we will explore the neighboring traditional fish market area and see what tasty local snacks are on offer. Moving from the traditional to the modern, our next stop is a popular and trendy market, Addiction Aquatic Development (AAD), which features ten distinct areas, including a live seafood section, two restaurants, a prepared food area for a delicious meal to go, and a huge 12-meter, stand-up sushi and sashimi bar. Staying on after the tour for lunch is optional, but highly recommended.
