Taking pictures with a smart phone has become a daily activity for many of us. It is so easy to snap, edit and delete without thinking. When was the last time you used camera and film? (Have you ever?) This unique photography class allows you to learn about analog film cameras while being guided through one of Taipei’s fascinating old districts and one of its most stunning parks. We begin in a hidden café in the Xinfu Market where Naomi and Min will introduce you to the cameras and show you how to operate them. Each student will be provided with a 35mm camera and one roll of film to shoot. As we walk around city, you will then have time to appreciate the slow photo process as we visit interesting locations where you will have time to take photographs on 35mm film. After the class your instructors will develop and email the images to you; negatives will be delivered to the Center for your collection. You may choose to order prints for a small additonal fee. Coffee or tea at the café is included.

Instructor: Naomi Goddard and Minsik Jung

Online pre-registration closes 5 days before an activity begins!
