In this Yoga for Wellness Course, we will explore our body-mind-spirit connections with the five elements of nature: Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, and Fire. Each week we will explore a different element, its unique characteristics, corresponding organs and meridians and energetic qualities. Within the dynamic Zen Thai Yoga Flow, we will weave in pranayama (breath practice), yin yang qualities and energy techniques to connect into each element. This course is suitable for anyone who is curious about dynamic yoga asana practice, energy flow, and connection to nature. Options and modifications will be given during the sessions to cater to all levels of experience. Please bring: yoga mat, two blocks, a yoga strap, big and small towel, lots of water and a curious heart. (Insect spray and sunblock are also recommended). This course will be held in the Tianmu Baseball Stadium park area. A rainy day plan will be worked out with class participants. The first class meets at 7:30am so we can walk together to our space in the park.
