ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN ON DEC. 4, 2017
It is not a well-known fact, but in 1942, the Japanese began bringing Allied POWs to Taiwan from Southeast Asia and held them under horrendous conditions until Japan surrendered in 1945. The largest of the six camps in Taiwan was in Kinkaseki, today's Jinguashi. This fascinating, full-day tour will take us from Ruifang to Jinguashi via Jiufen along the route taken by the POWs and will include stops at the Gold Mining Museum (admission fee included) and the POW Memorial Park on the site of the camp. Bring water, a packed lunch and rain/sun protection as needed.
