Come to Decembers coffee morning to meet Meet Amy C. Liu, a cross-cultural coach, who will share her experiences working with indigenous groups in Hualien, including Taroko 123 and The Kaixin Workshop 開心學堂. The Kaixin Workshop, founded in 2014, is a monthly cultural exchange that introduces global perspectives to local indigenous children in Taroko Gorge. Every month, volunteer teachers are invited from a variety of backgrounds and countries to meet the community and teach the kids about their life, culture, work, or passion. These short classes expose the children to different cultures and new ideas. The hope is that each Kaixin Workshop will expand the children’s minds and give them a new outlook on life.
This is a free event, newcomers and long-time residents are all welcome!
